I bought the 16GB iPod Touch as a replacement for a Creative ZEN Vision:M. I went from 30GB to 16GB and while I was concerned I still have room left over on the iPod Touch.

The best feature in my opinion is the multi-touch screen. No more clicking buttons or navigating through menus wit

I'm sorry a bought the TV now. The screen is definitely too glossy and reflects objects and light, especially when off, but also when it is on. I wish I had bought the 630 now with the matte screen or the Sony 52w4100. Look at the user supplied picture of his TV setup and all you see is reflections.

Overall this product works well, the battery is a pain & seems to run out very easily when using the video frequently (I can live with this though). What I don't like though is the video/audio is not encrypted, this needs to be fixed.

I always loved this legend, and the acting of everyone involved in the movie is excellent.

Excalibur

This is the best rendition of Excaliber that was ever made. I"ve watched several and this is the one I prefer above all others. It's a great move and suitable for the whole family there is a tad bit of nudity but only a hip and part of a buttock... So if your looking for a Great movie about King Arthur, Please check this one out...

Still incomplete
2/10/2007
I own Excalibur on the original VHS and SD-DVD version. I notice that the HD-DVD version is still the open matte widescreen which means that it was filmed full frame and black bars are actually added to the top and bottom of the screen to produce the widescreen. Sad thing is, my VHS copy is actually a more complete version of the film. Next time you watch notice how in some scenes the tops of heads are chopped off. I realize that some open matte (or soft matte) films are shot with the intention of the audience only seeing the film in the correct aspect ratio. However I don't like the way Excalbur looks in the open matte widescreen format. Another film that's open matte is Bride of Re-animator. That's how I learned of this format. When I went to fast foward the black bars actually disappeared. It had the wide/full option and when I switched to full low and behold I saw more of the film. If you are interested in reading more about this then research Open Matte Widescreen online.

What is the secret that I have lost?
1/13/2007
When it comes to Arthurian legend most filmmakers can't seem to decide whether they want to treat it as history or as myth. It is irritating to see the magic and the mundane mixed. As Arthur points out- he was not meant to live the life of a mortal man. Boorman and Pallenberg treated it as pure myth- sacred myth. In fact, this is the best translation of myth to film that I have ever seen.

If you are looking for just a piece of light entertainment then you might want to avoid this movie. It draws you in- it stirs archetypes that reside deep in your soul. Awakening to such depths is not always pleasant, though it can be transformational.

I've lost track of how many times that I've seen this film. It was one of the first videos that I bought when I got my first VCR and it was one of the first DVD's that I bought when I switched over. I've never "tuned it out" mentally while watching- it always manages to draw me in. I don't think that I've ever watched it with totally dry eyes. I find myself raised above my usual petty concerns to say, "my God, this is what it means to be a hero- this is what it means to rise above your little self to be a true knight who follows a true king!" Deep down, I think that everyone awaits the return of a true King- and to find and drink from the Grail. The latter is up to you. Follow...

The story is an excellent compilation of the best of legend, the acting is uniformly fine, and the camera work is bigger than life. Something about this subject seems to have made everyone who participated in it rise above themselves. Perhaps, just perhaps, it may make you do the same.

To be fair, when I first saw this film in the theaters I didn't quite "get it"- but I remembered almost every scene and it kept pulling at me. Then, after I came back to it in mid-life, I got it...

This is the region two version- don't buy it unless you are sure that your player will handle it (and it probably won't in North America.)

High Definition Didn't Do Much versus Widescreen
1/9/2007
If you don't already own this in standard DVD, get it in HD DVD. However, if you already own this in standard DVD, it's not really worth the cost.
